		Black Tide (Ölpest) 2010, Cocktail - 1cl schwarzer Wodka - 4cl trockener Martini - kleiner Schuss Blue Curacao - Wasserglas Die Arbeit "Black Tide" (Ölpest) ist ein Martinicocktail. Sie thematisiert unser Verhältnis zum Erdöl und die aktuelle Ver-schmutzung im Mexikanischen Golf. Erdöl ist seit den Golfkriegen des letzten Jhd. und des Bewußtseins der Abhängigkeit vom Erdöl ein Politikum geworden, um das sich das Weltgeschehen dreht. Erdöl ist das Gold von heute. Die westliche Welt will es und braucht es. Aber, wenn es nicht in Form von Benzin oder Kunst-stoffartikeln zu uns kommt, sondern unkontrolliert unsere Umwelt verschmutzt, ist der Segen plötzlich ein Fluch. Die, dieser Geschichte immanente, Ironie soll durch die Form des Cocktails pointiert werden. Der Cocktail als Teil einer Freizeit/Lifestylekultur strahlt Dekadenz und Sorglosigkeit aus, serviert aber in einem Wasserglas wird die Parallele zum verschmutzten Wasser deutlich. Da die Umweltprobleme verursacht wurden durch die eigene Gier , ist das Zelebrieren der größtmöglichen Umweltkatastrophe als banalen Teil unserer Spaß- und Freizeitkultur in Form eines Cocktails der Spannungsbogen der Arbeit "Black Tide".

The western world wants it and needs it. But the blessing is sudden a curse, if it does not come to us in form of gasoline or plastic articles, but uncontrolled pollutes our environment. The immanent irony of this story is pointedly illustrated by the form of the cocktail. The cocktail as part of a spare time/lifestyle-cultur radiates decadence and carelessness, but served in a waterglass the parallel to dirty water is clearly. Our environmental problems were caused by our own greed. Because of that is the tension of the work "Black Tide" the celebrating of the maximize environment disaster as banal part of our fun and leisure culture in form of a cocktail .
