Diese Filme sind eine Projektionsfläche von Ängsten und auch Gelüsten. NY als Tor zur neuen Welt, als Symbol und Aushängeschild der USA, ist damit gleichzeitig angreifbar und verletzlich. Diese Angst, ob vor oder nach dem 11.09.2001, wird unverändert in Hollywood verarbeitet. These films are a projection screen for fears and desires. NY as gate to the new world, as symbol and sign of a strong USA, is at the same time vulnerable. This fear whether before or after 09/11 is processed unchanged in Hollywood. It seems that the maximum vulnerability implicates also the maximum sensation and maximum catharsis. |
